#3042: Chuck Holton

Currently a war correspondent for Newsmax, author, and motivational speaker, who has previously travelled around as Fox News cameraman for all-purpose American hero Oliver North on his travels, Chuck Holton – who has also been a reporter for the Christian Broadcasting Network – is probably most famous for his long stint as an NRATV pundit until NRATV folded some years ago. As such, it is probably unnecessary to go into much detail, though there is a decent portrait of Holton (and colleagues like Grant Stinchfield) here.

 

Holton is concerned about the stuff you’d expect someone like him to be concerned about, such as (like Pete Hegseth) current crises of masculinity: According to Holton, it is “a huge problem in America” that “young men are being turned into second-rate women,” especially in “inner city” communities where they’re raised in “single parent households.” The main threat to America, however, comes from the left: Holton has compared liberals in America to ISIS because “they both hate America, they both say it’s a terrible place,” and “they both are for open borders” – it’s really hard to tell the difference – and to really see the dangers, you can just look to Europe, which is plagued by terrorist activity due to “the broader problem of multiculturalism and socialism” and to “gender-bending” (space unfortunately prevented him from detailing the mechanisms at work here, but we’re sure his audience doesn’t need him to). Holton was also a major promoter of the conspiracy theory that left-wing groups funded by George Soros and the Venezuelan government were trying “to influence the 2018 midterms by sending Honduran migrants north in the thousands.”

 

An illustrative example of Holton’s approach to things could perhaps be his hysterical alarmism about how an EMP attack on the US could cause people on food stamps to become cannibals (yes: in order to protect ourselves from the largely imaginary threat of large-scale EMP attacks, the first course of action should be to eliminate government assistance, for “when you have these sort of systemic issues in our government of nearly half of the people in the United States receiving some sort of subsidy from the government, imagine what happens when all the EBT cards start flashing zeroes”, says Holton). A perhaps more immediate threat is Black Lives Matter supporters, which, as Holton sees it, might be poised to commit mass rape and murder.

 

Diagnosis: It is worth noting that his Wikipedia article (as of 04.01.2026) is completely scrubbed of references to his work for the NRA; perhaps he is trying to rebuild a brand here? There is, in that case, unfortunately a lot of crazy baggage to get rid of.
