#502: Don Black

Honorable mention to professor of kinesiology at the University of Alabama for this display of subtle anti-science attitudes, but it doesn’t quite unequivocally merit a separate entry – at least not when compared to the infinite insanity of Don Black.

Stephen Donald Black is probably familiar to many readers. Black is a prominent white supremacist, founder of Stormfront, and erstwhile high-ranking Ku Klux Klan member. He started out as an ardent campaigner for J.B. Stoner’s gubernatorial candidacy (and was shot by James Earl Ray’s brother) before becoming David Duke’s successor as Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan. That stint ended when he was arrested during an attempt to overthrow the Caribbean island of Dominica in the infamous Operation Red Dog.

I’m not sure I really need to cover this guy more extensively; his inclusion is sort of self-explanatory.

Diagnosis: Kinda obvious, isn’t it? He’s dangerous even though his influence is probably limited.
