Michael
Bray is a minister, domestic terrorist and anti-abortion activist involved with
the terrorist organization Army of God.
Bray was convicted in 1985 of two counts of conspiracy and one count of
possessing unregistered explosive devices in relation to 10 bombings of women’s
health clinics and offices of liberal advocacy groups in Washington, D.C.,
Maryland and Virginia. He was interviewed by Dawkins for ”The Root of All Evil?”
and for Bill Maher’s Religulous (he appears in the deleted scenes on the DVD
release). Even Randall Terry thinks he’s a whacko.
A
Biblical literalist, Bray has said that homosexuality and adultery, if proven
in a court with the usual protections of law, should carry a death sentence. In
1994 he published his book ”A TIME TO KILL: A Study Concerning the Use of Force
and Abortion”, and he has praised every violent act committed against abortion
providers and activists (he has called Scott Roeder ”an American hero”) ever since.
While on
the topic, you can also savor this rant by Presbyterian ministers David and Joe
Bayly.
Diagnosis:
Not a particularly nice guy. Dangerous
